The Gambit is the prime supper club in Hollywood, a title it has held for over 80 years which carries little weight that it once had as it is now the last remaining supper club. Supper clubs were restaurants that serve excellent haute cuisine and, additionally, were locations that capitalized on glamour, elegance, and sophistication. Dress codes were strictly formal, but guests had fun with their styles. Supper clubs served as places for important business meetings, for special events, and, simply, to be seen. But as society changed, the draw of these destinations lost their appeal to new audiences, closing one by one. The Gambit is no different, patronage has dwindled; The owner decided to give The Gambit a death with dignity.

The owner has invited you all, as patrons of significance in different ways, for one last dinner service - a living wake. You all have come to know each other, at least in some way, over the years. Some are diehard regulars. Others are more occasional, leaving lasting impressions all the same. All appreciate the invitation for 3 last hours with compatriots. 3 hours to reminisce. 3 bittersweet hours, because this is a good end and life will continue all the same. History will remember The Gambit as it was in the height of its glory, though you know the special nature of the place you now bid farewell.

The Last Supper Club is a game for up to 12 players and a facilitator about loss, achievement, identity, belonging, and the melancholy of it all. The stakes are both low and high at the same time. The decision to close the restaurant is finalized. It cannot be saved. So the players are asked, what can be saved? How do I gain ownership of a powerless situation, if I do at all? Players are invited to layer their emotions and be complicated characters. Endings are never easy but are also necessary. There is no incorrect way to feel.
